Our stay at Sylvis Hostel was great! The hostel had a social atmosphere without being a full-on party hostel, which was perfect for us. The beds in the private rooms were really comfortable and clean, with lockers provided. The staff were amazing and even took us to a football game. The location was good, and we enjoyed meeting people at the pub downstairs. Additionally, the laundry service was great and the breakfast was good.
One of the shower heads was broken, and the existence of the pub downstairs meant that there was a lot of noise at night, making it hard to sleep. Also, one of the receptionists was not nice and seemed more interested in her phone than helping guests.

Menu for breakfast could have had more variety.

As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the spacious and clean rooms at the hostel. the beds were large and comfortable, with curtains for added privacy. the bathrooms were sparkling clean with great water pressure and hot showers. the hostel also provided useful amenities such as cotton pads, sanitary napkins, and a hair dryer in the female bathroom. the common areas had efficient AC and were perfect for working or relaxing. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with great advice on places to go and things to do. the location of the hostel was convenient, with shops nearby and main attractions just a short walk away. we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Felt right at home, no complaints whatsoever.

Clean hostel with helpful English-speaking staff. Good location near eateries and night clubs. Comfortable rooms with considerate dormmates. Great social atmosphere, but not a party hostel.

The rooms at this hostel were spacious and impeccably clean. The beds were huge and super comfortable, with curtains for privacy and a side lamp. The bathrooms were always sparkling clean and had excellent water pressure and hot water. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. the hostel had a prime location, situated near shops and within walking distance of the main attractions, while still being tucked away in a quiet alley.
One downside of the hostel was that the common areas were open, meaning that there was always someone smoking, which was unwelcoming for someone with allergies. Another drawback was the lack of soundproofing in the lobby/bar/garden area, making it difficult for light sleepers to get a good night's rest.

The location of the hostel was great, with shops nearby and a short walk to the main attractions. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with big beds and curtains for privacy. The bathrooms were also spotlessly clean and had excellent shower pressure. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the breakfast provided was filling and served at a decent hour.
There were a few negative aspects of my stay. The common areas were always filled with people smoking, which was unwelcoming for someone with allergies.

The bar area was a fun and inclusive experience, with friendly staff and games like beer pong. The laundry service provided was great and convenient. The location was ideal, being close to night markets, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, the rooms were modern, spacious, and comfortable.
Some guests in the main area were noisy at night, which could be bothersome for those staying in the dorms. The lockers provided were quite small and could not fit backpacks or luggage.
